TSA Demands Bizarre New Power To Test Drinks Purchased In Airports

[I can vouch for this. After passing through Customers in FIJI we had an hour before the plane home due to extra delays in the service. So we decided to buy a bottle of water for the flight home, knowing that its double the price on the plane. Only minutes before boarding the plane we had our bags checked by Fiji Customs/TSA and they advised us no liquids were able to be taken onto the plane... So after throwing it down my throat  in front of them, they reassured us. No liquids allowed to be taken on and we must dispose of the bottle... This bottle was purchased in the Airport and unopened. It either a selling point for them, or just new powers they demand over the public. Whatever it was, I was very pissed off. Flight Provider: Virgin Airlines.]

Federal agency refuses to explain ridiculous new rules

In a bizarre and insufficiently explained expansion of the TSA’s power, the federal agency is now demanding the right to test drinks purchased by passengers after they have already passed through airport security.

TSA Demands Bizarre New Power To Test Drinks Purchased In Airports 041312tsa 512x288

“Passengers say their problem is not with the rules at the airport. They understand why drinks are not allowed through security, but when they buy one while they wait for their flight, they say the TSA should not ask to test it,” reports KJCT8.

Rules on taking liquids through airport security, passed in the aftermath of the highly dubious attempted “liquid bombing” incident back in 2006 (which completely collapsed in court), have already been savaged as pointless and unnecessary. Mothers are forced to drink their own breast milk in a procedure that seems to be designed to achieve little else than humiliating the traveler.

In one incident earlier this year, working mother Amy Strand was even made to pump breast milk into empty feeding bottles before being allowed through security.

Expanding those rules to include drinks purchased after passengers have already passed through security is absurd.

Travelers interviewed by the news channel condemned the new rules as “ridiculous” and “extreme”.

In its response to KJCT8, the TSA failed to explain why beverages that are delivered securely to the airport in the first place would need to be tested again, refusing to clarify what they were testing for.

“TSA employees have many layers of security throughout airports. Passengers may be randomly selected for additional screening measures at the checkpoint or in the gate at any time,” said a statement put out by the federal agency.

Indeed, it seems the harebrained new rules on testing drinks is merely part of the TSA’s effort to expand its role into every place imaginable beyond the security gate.

As a TSA whistleblower told Infowars last month, TSA screeners are now being ordered by their supervisors to check bags of people arriving at the airport who were merely there to pick up passengers.

“We’re doing patrols in the parking lot with dogs, we’re even going as far out to the train station because the train station is connected to the airport here and we have guys walking around the train station, walking around the rental cars, we’re inspecting cars coming into the parking garage, I mean we’ve fully expanded – we’re no longer just at the gate and just at the security checkpoint,” the whistleblower said.

Big Sis Launches Undercover TSA Spies To Ride Houston Buses

Feds to watch for suspicious activity, pre-crime behavior

A new program in Houston will place undercover TSA agents and police officers on buses whose job it will be to perform bag searches, watch for “suspicious activity” and interrogate passengers in order to ‘curb crime and terrorism’.

Democratic Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee unveiled the program, labeled Bus Safe, during a press conference on Friday. According to a Metropolitan Transit Authority of Houston (METRO) press release, agencies involved in the scheme will, “ride buses, perform random bag checks, and conduct K-9 sweeps, as well as place uniformed and plainclothes officers at Transit Centers and rail platforms to detect, prevent and address latent criminal activity or behavior.”

“While local law enforcement agencies focus on overall safety measures noted above, representatives with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will also be on hand, lending their counter-terrorism expertise and support during the exercise,” states the press release.

“If you think you’re going to be a bad actor on buses, get ready. You are going to have a short-lived time frame,” Jackson Lee said during the press conference. The Congresswoman is a staunch advocate of the TSA, having recently chastised the passage of a new law that allows airports to evict TSA agents and replace them with private screeners by claiming it would lead to a new 9/11-style attack.

According to KPRC 2 News, METRO refused to disclose on what dates or bus routes the program would be operational. As well as TSA agents, police officers from the Harris County Constable’s Office Precinct 7 will be involved.

According to Phillip Levine of the Houston Free Thinkers blog, shortly after Lee gave her press conference the operation went straight into effect, with DHS and Metro Police officers questioning passengers who were exiting buses about their destinations and their reasons for riding the bus.

“When I arrived at Wheeler I got off the stage and instantly noticed the massive police presence. The police presence consisted of DHS, metro police, HPD, TSA, and Harris county police officers. They were going on to buses searching and stopping people for questions. Apparently Sheila Jackson Lee was there pushing for more security like what I was viewing. I asked the TSA agent if there was gonna be a bigger presence of metro or TSA. He said both,” Levine said in an email.

This is a wake-up call for Americans who had hoped to avoid being harassed by TSA agents by not using airports.

TSA agents are now being used to literally occupy America with an expansion of the 9,000 plus checkpoints that were already operational last year. 12 more TSA VIPR teams (Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response) will be added to the 25 who are already present at transportation hubs throughout the country.

Back in October we reported on how Tennessee’s Homeland Security Commissioner announced that a raft of new “security checkpoints” would be in place over the Halloween period to “keep roadways safe for trick-or-treaters”. Earlier that same month it was announced that Transportation Security Administration officials would be manning highway checkpoints in Tennessee targeting truck drivers.

TSA agents have been deployed to shake down Americans at everywhere from bus depots, to ferry terminals, to train stations, in one instance conducting pat downs of passengers, including children, who had already completed their journey when arriving in Savannah.

If the mass rollout of the TSA’s occupying army of minimum wage morons is not abated, Americans will have to get used to being interrogated, frisked and treated like criminals by TSA goons on a regular basis, meaning the United States’ transformation into a Soviet-style police state festooned with internal checkpoints will be complete.

TSA Body Scanners Set To Be Exposed as “Giant Fraud”

Engineer who lifted the lid on $1 billion dollar body scanner program promises ‘epic’ revelations

The Transportation Security Administration is set for yet another major embarrassment next week with Jon Corbett, the engineer who recently put the federal agency to shame by exposing the uselessness of its $1 billion dollar body scanner program, promising to release a new video of ‘epic’ proportions.

Corbett’s March 5th video, which has so far received almost 1.9 million views after going viral and appearing in hundreds of news stories, exposed how the TSA’s radiation firing body scanners can easily be fooled by securing an object inside an external pocket sewn on to an item of clothing.

The video shows Corbett carrying a metal case through the scanner, away from his body in his side pocket. Corbett explains that because metallic objects appear as black on the image the scanners produce, the machines do not pick up such objects if they are obscured by the background, which is also black.

The TSA’s response to the controversy was both glib and totally pathetic – the federal agency didn’t even try to deny the fact that Corbett had revealed the body scanner program to be completely useless for the purpose the TSA claims it was designed for.

However, the TSA did resort to threatening mainstream news reporters not to cover the story. The reporters cited a TSA spokeswoman called Sari Koshetz as the person attempting to intimidate them out of covering the issue. They say that Koshetz described Corbett as someone who “clearly has an agenda” that “should not be aided by the mainstream media”.

Following the interest generated by the story, Corbett attempted to obtain video footage of himself defeating the body scanners at Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport under the Freedom of Information Act, efforts that have so far been resisted.

Corbett is still engaged in a lawsuit against the TSA’s naked body scanners and its invasive pat down procedures.

Now Corbett has put out a teaser for a new TSA exposé set to be released early next week.

“I’ve been working on producing a new video, which will be on the same level of epicness as the last one in exposing the TSA — and especially the nude body scanner program — as the giant fraud that it is. I’m pleased to announce that my new video will be released early next week,” writes Corbett on his blog.

“No hints, but I promise you’ll like it. Unless, of course, you’re a TSA supporter, in which case… well, apologies in advance.”

The fact that the TSA is set to be embarrassed yet again is hardly a surprise, virtually every week we see a deluge of stories concerning the criminal behavior of the agency’s screeners, but the popularity and importance of Corbett’s previous revelation means we’re waiting on his next effort with baited breath.

3-Year-Old Boy In Wheelchair Harassed By TSA

Toddler with broken leg groped, swabbed for explosives

The following video provides airports with yet another fantastic reason to evict TSA screeners and replace them with private security – the clip shows a 3-year-old boy with a broken leg in a wheelchair being harassed by a TSA worker.

The incident occurred at O’Hare Airport in Chicago and was recorded by the father of the 3-year-old boy.

A TSA agent begins conducting a pat down of the boy who is sitting in a wheelchair with a broken leg. The boy is confused at being fondled by a stranger and reaches out to his parents for support but they cannot touch him because they have been ordered to stay clear by the TSA agent.

The boy begins trembling and is clearly upset as the creepy TSA moron begins swabbing his cast, his hands and his wheelchair for explosives.

The TSA goon then asks the father to lift up the boy’s shirt so he can swab his body too, offering to conduct this part of the harassment in a private room.

While the boy is being harassed, an old woman with a cane is also told to stand back and wait for an advanced pat down, with the TSA again proving themselves adept at being able to single out the most likely terrorists – nearly crippled senior citizens and toddlers with broken legs in wheelchairs.

Only after several minutes of this pointless, degrading and shameful treatment is the boy allowed to pass security.

This video represents yet another sterling reason why airports should take advantage of a new law that allows them to opt-out of using TSA agents to provide security screening.

Harassing three-year-old children in wheelchairs on their way to Disneyland is not a proficient method of preventing terrorism. If the terrorists attacked us because they hate our freedom, as we were told after 9/11, then footage like this proves that the terrorists have won.

Meanwhile, yet more TSA agents have been caught engaged in criminal acts.

41-year-old TSA agent Michael Scott Wilson has been indicted on federal porn charges after allegedly being found in possession of a video “depicting a prepubescent female engaged in masturbation and anal sex with an adult male”. These are the same people groping your children.

A TSA screener who worked at Newark International was also busted while still wearing her TSA uniform at a major heroin den near an elementary school. 22-year-old Samirah Saunders is accused of helping to distribute 1,400 packets of heroin.
